We kept clicking "I agree" to T&Cs we hadn't read. We kept looking up companies and scrolling through websites to do initial checks — this provides a quick first glimpse of the company. We kept hearing about tickers from people who didn't know what the company did. So we made this.
All four tiers get all three tools. The only difference is how many lookups per month. Cancel any time, self-service, no awkward email exchanges.
One question to one of the tools. Scan a T&C — that's a lookup. Look up a ticker — that's a lookup. Check a company — that's a lookup.
If you (or anyone else) ran the same query in the last 15 minutes, it's free — we serve a cached answer. And if our service can't reach the data sources at all (an upstream provider is down), we don't count it. We only charge for work we actually did.
You can either upgrade to a higher tier in two clicks, or wait until the 1st of the next calendar month, when your allowance resets. We won't charge you for failed lookups, won't bait you with overage fees, and won't hassle you to upgrade.
No. Glimpse is an information and decision-support tool. Scanner gives you a plain-English read of a contract, but it's not a substitute for a solicitor. Ticker shows you market data, but we're not authorised to give investment advice. Company surfaces public data, but it shouldn't replace proper due diligence.
What Glimpse does well is the briefing — the thing you'd want before paying someone qualified to do the proper version. Use it to be a more informed client, not to skip the professionals.
Briefly, then no. Anything you submit is held in a 15-minute cache so that repeat queries are fast and free. After that, it's gone. We don't keep the original text, we don't index it, and we don't read it.
Subscriber data — your tier and monthly usage count — is held against an anonymous identifier. We don't see your name or email; Stripe handles that side of the relationship.
Yes — that's how the synthesis works. When you scan a T&C or look up a company, the relevant text is sent to an AI model for analysis, then the result is returned to you.
We use Mistral (France) by default for synthesis, with Anthropic (US) as a fallback for the most complex queries, both under commercial API terms that exclude your content from model training. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
Yes. There's a self-service customer portal in the extension — two clicks to cancel, with the option of an immediate cancellation plus refund of the most recent invoice if you want it. No emails to send, no forms to fill, no retention queue.
Yes. Scanner and Ticker work globally. Company is best for UK and US (we use Companies House and SEC EDGAR directly), with broader EU and global coverage via OpenCorporates. We're exploring adding France and Germany for a more comprehensive service.
No. We make money from subscriptions. Adding ads would mean tracking you, profiling you, or selling your attention — and that's the opposite of what Glimpse is for. If we ever can't make subscriptions work, we'd rather close the doors than start showing you ads.
